1.1 INTRODUCTION
The hospitality industry is being studied in this project as “hospitality industry as an agent of tourist attraction and economic development”.
The hospitality industry is a commercial establishment that provides accommodation and other facilities like food, drinks to the public.

The hospitality industry is an institution that has developed out of necessity and such has become one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
Hospitality is being studies also because of the contribution to tourism and economic development has problems and challenges facing it.
In Nigeria, most especially the hospitality industry still has a long way to go both in tourisms and economic development.

The government and the general public still have a lot to contribute because here we are talking about hospitality which entails accommodating to foreign guests and readiness to help tourists with our local knowledge.
The hospitality industry also brings a lot of opportunities to the younger generation.

All these and a lot more are being studies under this project.
The hospitality industry also contributes to the sustainable of tourism tempting is to start talking about futuristic hospitality industry being built on the moon or under the sea, the fact is that, in 1o or even 20 years time hospitality industry will be pretty much the same as they are now.

Even the most cursory look back over the past two decades will lack up this contention.
The government talks more about tourism today, but the reality is in the papers and documents indicated under cabinet in offices.
Modernization and expansion of cities are also affecting tourism and push pressure on cities and pasts, leading to immigration of wide like, and cost of eco-system.
Tourism is critical for development as an export drive and job creation.

It critical for climate,like all major social-economic sectors and a key component of any green technology parading shift.
The hospitality industry has been known to contribute immensely to the development of our country, there is growing awareness of this in Nigeria as government agencies and private companies are embarking on improvement of services of hotels are resorts.
1.2 NEED FOR STUDY
The hospitality industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and is also a very profitable leisure business.

As such research to be carried out in order to know how it works side by side with tourism and how much impact it can have on the economy.
These are countries around the worlds that a great proportion of their national income is generated from tourism and this is as a result of wonderful hospitality that they have for their tourists and guests who have come for other business apart from tourism.
The problems that this industry faces also need to be studied and all other factors preventing the industry from moving forwards in order to generate more revenue and make the economy of Nigeria stronger.
