Leadership is a vital part of managing the abiding to lead effectively is one of the keys to be a successful boss. The nature of leadership is follower ship. In other words, it is people’s willingness to pursue others that they believe will help them achieve their own goals, wishes, or needs. As a result, any company that wishes to achieve its objectives must have an effective and productive leadership team that understands how to implement all management concepts in order to achieve their objectives.
The leader must possess zeal, as well as the willingness to work with zeal and trust. Having strong feelings, earnestness, and intensity in the execution of work is reflected by enthusiasm, while courage is reflected by experience and technical skill. To lead means guiding, conducting, or directing others to do what they want in order to achieve organizational objectives.
Leaders should not be individuals who stand behind a community or entity to force them to do something; rather, they should act to assist a group in achieving its goals by maximizing its capabilities.
This is the type of leadership we want in our organization, especially in the management and technology institute.
Furthermore, any company without effective and productive leadership is comparable to driving a car in the dark without a headlight.
Leadership is an important part of management; one of the keys to becoming a successful boss is the ability to lead effectively; the essence of leadership is fellowship. In other words, a leader is defined by the desire of others to obey. Furthermore, people prefer to pursue those that they believe will help them achieve their own dreams, wishes, and needs. That is why, in order to achieve its goals, every company must have an effective and productive leadership team that understands how to apply all management principles to achieve its goals. The leader must be enthusiastic and confident in his or her abilities. Trust reflects knowledge and technical skill, while zeal reflects ardor, earnestness, and passion in the execution of work. Leading entails guiding, conducting, directing, and moving forward. Leaders help a company accomplish its goals by making the best use of its resources. They should not be leaders who do not support and encourage a party or association. They should take a place in front of you.
The group as they aid success and motivate the group to achieve organizational objectives. This is the type of leadership we want in our institutions, especially at Kumba Council. Furthermore, any company without successful and productive leadership is comparable to driving a car at night without a headlight. This could be very risky, as well as limiting their ability to achieve their goals. Inefficient and ineffective leadership could be to blame for most organizations’ failure to achieve their goals and objectives. According to Katz and Kahn (1978:p.16), leadership is clearly described as power, or the art or method of persuading people to work together to achieve a common goal. This definition can be broadened to include not only a desire to work, but also a desire to work with passion and trust. In the execution of work, zeal reflects ardor, earnestness, and strength, while courage reflects experience and technical capacity.
Leading entails guiding, conducting, directing, and preceding. The Institute of Management and Technology faces the following challenges in achieving its objectives. Ineffective leadership, environmental causes, policy inconsistency, political turmoil, government intervention, inadequate funding, and poor management are just a few of them.
1.2 RESEARCH PROBLEM
Managing people in Organizations is parts and parcel of administration Process. Therefore, administrators should realize, that people are the critical elements in organisations and that they should be recognized as being synonymous with the organisation. But the problem is, to what extent do Leaders and administrators recognize this fact that employees are synonymous with Organizations’ and that they should be adequately motivated so that they can give their best to ensure the achievement of the organization’s goals. Again the leadership behaviour/style in most organizations which believe that workers could be treated anyhow as a result of unemployment situation in the country which makes job switch difficult has resulted in the hardship workers face in their places of work in Cameroon. This leadership style has an influence on organizational culture change and/or development, which has an impact on organizational performance and commitment. Furthermore, some researchers are of the opinion that the most common problems affecting organisational performance in Cameroons businesses and other institutions are poor attitude to work among the workforce, inefficiency and ineffectiveness of leaders in most places, others still belief that organisations in Cameroon are managed through leadership styles
