ABSTRACT
The focus here was aim at understanding the Effect of Multinational Corporation on the Growth of Cameroon’s Economy in the Case of Orange Cameroon.
This research work is divided into five chapters. From researchers, it is being noted that less attention has been laid on Orange Cameroon activities and its contributions to the growth of the Cameroonians economy that is on employment, infrastructure, good and services, local firms and GDP.
The specific objectives of this research work are to evaluate the nature of the relationship that exists between Orange Cameroon and economic growth of Cameroon. This design was therefore found very convenient to the present study as it targeted Orange offices of Buea and Limbe municipality.
The sampling technique that was used here was explaining to the respondents the purpose of the activity. The total sample size was twenty-five and the instrument used was the administration of questionnaire to all participants who constituted the sample for the study.
The data used for this research work was the quantitative design with the use of survey research method. Data collected in the field was analyzed using frequency, proportions and multiple response analysis to aggregate responses within conceptual components of percentages.
In the findings that was carried out in the field it was realized that one hundred percent respondent agreed that they have heard of Orange Cameroon and also one hundred percent respondent agreed that Orange Cameroon faces challenges and some of the challenges are: Stiff competition with other networks, high taxes impose by government.
The findings also showed that Orange Cameroon have help in the growth of Cameroon’s economy by creating employment. For recommendation, the Corporation should work in close collaboration with other private or multinational Corporations.
This can reduce some financial burden off Orange Cameroon since it faces some financial constraints at times.
