INTRODUCTION
Research and Advocacy for Gender Justice (RAGJ) is an NGO which was created in 2013 with its founder Mme Patience N. Agwenjang. RAGJ has two offices which are the South West office and the North West office with its headquarters. South West office covers Lithoral and the South West. RAGJ has four areas of work which could be seen on the illustration above. From the illustration above, we see that the Board of Trustees is made up of Advisors, executive director who are the general assembly of the organization. The executive director has its right hand which is the administration and finance who also acts as the HR of the organization whom we have in person as Mme Agwenjang Ashley. The four areas of work about RAGJ will be elaborated below.
The first area of work is Justice and Rule of Law (JROL). This domain has to do with civil documents. The law here by states that every person has the right to be in possession of a birth certificate, national identity card, marriage certificate and death certificate if necessary.
Governance and Democratic Accountability (GDA). Based on this aspect, the organization works more often on policies like the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).
Assets and Natural Resource Governance (ANRG). Natural resource governance here by has farming such as the cultivation of minerals, gold and timber. Here, we also talk on economic Empowerment that is empowering the youths to become who they are or whom they wish to be for a sustainable development in the society.
Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) . This is the most active area in RAGJ because the program manager of South West office do visit the North West office likewise the program manager of North West do visit the South West office to carryout M&E. Though I haven’t met the program director of the North West office I’ve heard of how they carryout the activity from the workers.
In addition, there is also the Domain of Change. Basically here, it’s all about how the the formal, informal and individual systems operate or interact with one another.
